Michael Stoepel

Michael St枚pel is the User Services Librarian for the American University of Paris. Originally from聽Munich (Germany), he joined the American University of Paris in 2001. He received his MA in Library and Information Science (MLIS) in 2010 from the聽Information School at the Humbold University in Berlin, Germany.聽Before coming to 绿巨人视频, Michael St枚pel studied Sociology in Munich聽and in Paris. His focus in library studies is led by the聽leitmotif of connecting users to information. He privileges聽qualitative research methods such as ethnographic studies 脿 la聽Nancy Foster putting the user in the center of his understanding.

He sees ongoing training as part of his professional credo. Notably, he participated in the ACRL Immersion Program: in 2010, in the Teacher Track; in 2014, in the Assessment Track; and in 2017, in the Teaching with Technology Track. In 2014, he completed an ALA online course on "Instructional Design". In Spring 2017, he organized and participated in the two-day workshop entitled at the American University of Paris, France.

In Fall 2016, Michael St枚pel was selected to be the by聽ACRL Instruction Section Teaching Methods Committee.
