Comics are a global form of communication; they're accessible to听all ages, to readers with learning disabilities, and allow us to听tell听complicated stories and share ideas without the barrier of听language. So why aren't more of us writing them?听This talk and hands-on workshop will outline the importance of听representation and education as a means for new comic creators听and voices听to emerge.

Hannah K Chapman is a comics writer and editor; she runs Comic听Book Slumber Party, Bristol Comic and Zine Fair and has written听about comics for Broken Frontier, Forbidden Planet International,听and OFFLIFE.
