With a focus on urban planning processes and business development strategies, this tourÌýwill include two of the most sustainable capital cities in the world, Oslo and Copenhagen,Ìýas well as a trip to Vaxjo, Sweden, a smaller city that has made a commitment to greenÌýpolicies and practices. Students will meet with government and business representativesÌýto learn how the two sectors have worked together to make sustainability a priority.ÌýSite visits will allow firsthand knowledge about successful private and public projects,Ìýespecially ones that use innovative approaches to address social and environmentalÌýchallenges. Throughout the tour, students will gain an understanding of the varying stagesÌýof implementing sustainability and how these elements have become cornerstones ofÌýEuropean urban and economic development.
