CL3075 Queens, Fairies, and Hags: The Romance of Gender
CL1025 The World, The Text, The Critic
The Arthurian legend arises out of a poorly documented historical moment in cross-Channel history when Britain ceased to be a Roman outpost and a war leader might have united the Roman and Celtic populations against the invading Saxons. This trip will take students to the major historical sites mentioned in the Arthurian legend and help them to distinguish the facts from the fiction that persists around a legendary figure and his imaginary court: King Arthur and Camelot.
