CL/EN2100 Introduction to Creative Writing: A Cross-Genre Workshop
CL/EN3200 Fiction Writing Workshop
CL/EN4000 Advanced Creative Writing Projects
CL/GS3075 Queens, Fairies and Hags: Romance of Medieval Gender

The Â̾ÞÈËÊÓƵ Writers’ Retreat at Royaumont will offer students the opportunity to spend an entire weekend at the Abbaye de Royaumont. During this time, students will generate new work, share feedback, read, write, and spend the time thinking about their literary practice. Their creative process will be informed by their encounters with the history of the place, walking/ekphrastic writing exercises, and a visit to the translation archives at the Abbaye. The trip introduces students to the writerly experience of deep thinking and creation. Likewise, sharing their work with other students in core courses across the creative writing department encourages a sense of community. Accommodation with full board during the retreat.
