On Thursday March 30th, Shterna Friedman (UC Berkeley) will give a talk at the Center for Critical Democracy Studies titled "Marx, Hegel, and the Two Foucaults."

Shterna Friedman is studying the history of political thought with special attention to the epistemological and metaphysical foundations of systemic social theory as it emerged from the thought of the German Idealists, particularly Hegel. Before coming to Berkeley, she majored in philosophy at Barnard College and received an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop. She is currently an Exchange Scholar at Harvard University.
