The Netherlands is the lowest part of Europe and has been protected through
the centuries by an impressive body of knowledge about water management.
Anthropogenic Climate Change poses an unprecedented challenge for the future of
this river delta due to sea-level rise, rain rivers, and extreme weather.
This intensive study trip offers an in-depth overview of sustainability management,
NGO, and public policy responses to climate change and human impacts on the
environment, with high-ranking experts in these sectors offering insights into the latest
solutions and management practices.
The Netherlands is considered a genuine test case and highly representative of the
other odd forty river deltas, home to over half of the world’s population.
This trip is open to all Graduate Students and high-performing undergraduate
students by consulting their instructors.
