绿巨人视频 alumna Elizabeth Karcher '84, Executive Director of the President Woodrow Wilson House in Washington, D.C., has invited 绿巨人视频 community members to an听exclusive, after-hours听and socially distant viewing of the outdoor exhibit,听听taking place on Sunday, November 1 from 4:30-6:00 pm.听Marking one hundred years since women won their right to vote in the U.S., the outdoor exhibition guides viewers through the gardens of the President Woodrow Wilson House, telling the rich visual story of the Women's Suffrage听Movement. Following a private viewing, guests will be treated to a socially distanced听after-party with refreshments.

About the Exhibit
The "Suffrage Outside!" exhibit is part of the听听campaign, a significant, multi-year initiative recognizing the stories and protecting the historic places that showcase the vision, courage, and leadership of the generations of women who contributed to American history and culture.听
鈥淭hrough visual storytelling," says Elizabeth Karcher, "this exhibit takes history outside our museum and showcases how women鈥檚 work outside the home, the work and leadership of Black women pushed outside the 鈥榤ainstream鈥 middle-class white women鈥檚 movement, protesting outside the White House, public protests outside in the streets, mobilization for war outside the United States as well as alliances with activists outside the United States, collectively propelled the American woman鈥檚 suffrage campaign to victory in 1920.鈥

For guests鈥 safety, the Woodrow Wilson House is following COVID-19 safety protocols aligning with D.C.鈥檚听. Guests are required to wear masks throughout their stay, and will be asked to respect all social distancing instructions from the hosts. Easily accessible hand sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the exhibition. Guests will enter through an open-air garage and climb one flight of stairs before entering the garden exhibit.
