The Center for Writers & Translators is delighted to present Mexican novelist and journalist Fernanda Malchor. Born 1982 in Veracruz, Melchor is one of the most promising writers of her generation. Her second novel,聽Temporada de huracanes, was named a Best Fiction of 2017 by the Spanish edition of聽The New York Times. It will be published as聽Hurricane Season聽in a translation by Sophie Hughes for Fitzcarraldo (UK) and New Directions (USA).
