CAF Workshop #1

University Room: David T. McGovern Grand Salon (C-104)
C-104 | Combes Building
Tuesday, February 5, 2019 - 09:15 to 10:00

Now that you're settled in your apartment, you can now sign up for the CAF (Caisse d’Allocation Familiale) which is a French subsidy to help you with your rent! You can receive money every months from the CAF!

PLEASE NOTE: Students living in a homestay cannot request the CAF. Student who live in independent housing (not Comforts of Home) need to ask their landlord if they can apply for the CAF! Your landlord will be asked to fill out documentation in order for you to get the CAF so if they don’t want to do it, there is no point in applying!

Who cannot apply?
Homestay students, students who are in Paris for only one (remaining) semester or student who are not declared as tenants by their landlords.

I’ll organize several workshops, where you will be able to apply online directly ! See below the date, time and room of the events:

CAF WORKSHOPS
Tuesday, February 5th at 9.15am in C-104
Wednesday, February 6th at 1.45pm in C-103
Thursday, February 7th at 12.10 in C-101

Please come to the time which is more convenient for you.

What to bring?

  • A laptop
  • A copy of your lease or an attestation de loyer (if you are with Comforts of Home, you can request one from them 48h before the day of the workshop)
  • A RIB from the Bank (With your bank information IBAN, BIC, etc)

If you don’t bring these documents, you won’t be able to apply.

If you’ve already applied to the CAF and have a question, please get back to me by email as these workshops only concerns CAF’s first applicants.
