Â̾ÞÈËÊÓƵ Film's Student Cinematheque and Students of Sex, Gender and Cinema presents the Sundance hit and influential Paris is Burning, a film that explores the New York City drag ball culture of the 1980s and the African-American, Latino, gay, and transgender communities involved in it. The film raises important questions about how intersections of race, class, gender and sexuality are present, performed and challenged in culture and how film can play a part. It's one of our favorite films this semester on many levels.  Please join us for one of our favorite films this term, and one that can help all of us unpack the complicated power structures of the worlds we live within.

EVERYONE welcome - come share in a film, knowledge (and popcorn and treats!) presented by our great students. Introduction and q&a after.Â
