Monday, March 19, 18:30 in G-207. Our Gender and Sexuality Studies senator, Dhouha Djerbi, has invited a guest speaker, le "Collectif: Feminists contre le cyber harcèlement" (feminists against cyber-bullying) for a lively discussion about their activism against online sexual harassment, in an effort to bridge the gap between Â̾ÞÈËÊÓƵ and the world of activism in Paris. Feminists against Cyber-bullying is an intersectional feminist organization that aims to shed light on online cyber bullying as well as inform and guide victims. "Our collective is made up of about thirty young feminists, mostly Afro-descendants and of North African origin - who are most often victims of stalkers."  We will have roughly six representatives – including a therapist.

Tuesday, March 20, 18:30 in GL-22. Gen*Sex and Inspire Africa will present a Film screening of The Pearl of Africa by Johnny von Hallstrom. It is a documentary film that focuses on the life of Cleopatra Kambugu, a Ugandan born woman who decide to live openly as a trans woman despite hostility towards same-sex relations in the country. This will be followed by an open discussion on international LGBTQ rights and western ideas of sexuality being exported to non-western countries.  This will be followed by a discussion with Gen*Sex and Inspire Africa on trans women and international LGBTQ topics.
