Stanza festival celebrates poetry and creative collaboration in the ancient city of St Andrews, Scotland. This is one of the best writing festivals on the British calendar with readings, master-classes, performances and installations linking poetry, music, film and dance. All the events take place scattered throughout this charming and historical city. This year’s theme draws international writers working with the theme of On the Road, including travel and migration. This is a trip for anybody interested in what it means to live “in between” places and cultures. In addition to the festival activities, discover the city of St Andrews, home of golf, the everlasting beach where the famous running scene of Chariots of Fire was filmed, and St Andrews University. The trip includes a day trip to the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh. Expect to leave on Wednesday evening, returning on Sunday evening.
