Lecture and conversation with Laila Alodaat: “Calling Attention to Violence Against Women: Rape as a Weapon of Genocide and War in Iraq and Syria"

In commemoration of the UN’s International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (Orange Day), The Gender, Sexuality and Society Program, with the support of The George and Irina Schaeffer Center for the Study of Genocide, Human Rights and Conflict Prevention, invites the ̾Ƶ community to a lecture and conversation with Laila Alodaat “Calling Attention to Violence Against Women: Rape as a Weapon of Genocide and War in Iraq and Syria” at 5:00 p.m. in C-104. The talk will be presented by the students of “Contemporary Feminist Theory “ and “Provocative Witness: Genocide and Cinema” with Professors Lincoln and Regan.
