The DNC recognizes Democrats Abroad as an official state party and allows it to send delegates to the Democratic Convention!Ìý
No other political party has an officially recognized and sanctioned division for its overseas members. This means that the more people who cast their vote in the Democrats Abroad Global Presidential election, the more delegates will be allotted to the Democrats Abroad organization. And this translates to more influence in Washington regarding expat concerns about citizenship, taxes, and other issues.
Any valid member of Democrats Abroad can vote in the Democrats Abroad Presidential Primary - either in person at Â̾ÞÈËÊÓƵ or by email ballot. For the General election in November, people should vote in their home state () However, since you cannot vote twice, do not vote in your home state’s Presidential primary AND the Global Primary.
