The best-selling book Half the Sky, written by New York Times Columnist Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn, tells the story of oppression against women and how it is being confronted through meaningful solutions. The documentary is based on the book, and the portion shown will feature Room to Read鈥檚 Education Program in Vietnam. Room to Read is a not-for-profit organization that promotes literacy at the primary school level and girls鈥� education at the secondary school level in ten developing countries.
